Determining Factors Affecting COVID-19 Anxiety Level of Individuals

Objective: This study was conducted to determine the anxiety levels of individuals due to COVID-19 during the pandemic period and the factors affecting it. Method: The descriptive and cross-sectional study was completed online with 330 people. An introductory information form and the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale were used to collect the data. In the study, a value of p <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: In the study, it was found that individuals who fear being infected with infection during the COVID-19 outbreak have higher anxiety levels (p <0.05). It was determined that individuals who thought their life and working conditions were negatively affected during the epidemic period and had problems / problems related to the care of their children had higher anxiety levels (p <0.05). Anxiety scores of individuals considering psychological support were found to be higher (p <0.05). Conclusion: In the study, it was found that individuals experience anxiety related to COVID-19 and that anxiety is higher especially in those who have problems with the care of their children. Our recommendation is to determine the factors affecting the anxiety levels of individuals during the epidemic period and the risky group and to provide psychological support.
