Ethical Rules

Author(s) 

Ethical principles that the author(s) submitting an article to JICAH must comply with:

Articles sent to the journal by the author(s) must be original.

Compliance of the article with ethical rules is the responsibility of the author(s).

Manuscripts submitted for publication to the journal must not have been previously published in a journal, accepted for publication, or evaluated.

All sources used in the articles should be cited correctly and in accordance with the spelling rules, and they should be fully included in the references section.

If the article sent for publication includes previously published materials such as excerpts, tables, figures, questionnaires and scales, written permission must be obtained from the copyright holder and author(s).

In the article sent for publication, situations and relationships that may constitute a conflict of interest should be stated and the reason should be explained.

Persons who do not contribute intellectually to the content in the formation of the work should not be mentioned as the author in the article.

In the article accepted for publication or published, it should not be requested to change the author's responsibilities such as changing the order of the author, removing an author, adding an author.

If the author(s) detects an error regarding an article that is in the process of evaluation or has been published electronically, they should inform the editor and/or editorial board and cooperate for the correction process.

In case reports, the information that the informed consent/consent form was signed should be included in the article.

Reviewers

All articles submitted to JICAH are evaluated by a double-blind peer-review process. Reviewers cannot directly communicate with the author(s) of the article they are evaluating. The result of the evaluation is sent to the author(s) by the editors through the journal management system.

The ethical principles that the reviewers who will evaluate the articles sent to JICAH must comply with:

They should agree to consider only studies related to their area of expertise.

The article should be evaluated within the principle of impartiality and confidentiality.

The reviewers should evaluate the articles objectively, and the style they use in their suggestions should be courteous, respectful, subjective and scientific. Reviewers should avoid offensive, disrespectful and subjective comments.

Reviewers are required to fill in the Reviewer Evaluation Form for the articles they evaluate. Reviewers should state their decision on whether the article they evaluated is publishable and the reasons for their decision on this form.

Reviewers; If they think that they are faced with a conflict of interest regarding the article they will evaluate, they should not accept to review the study and should inform the journal editor about it.

Reviewers are required to complete their evaluation within the time given to them for evaluation and send it to the journal.

After examining all files related to the article reviewer evaluated, they should destroy it.

Editors

Ethical principles that the editor must abide by:

The editor is responsible for all articles published in the journal.

The editor should make an effort to contribute to the improvement and improvement of the quality of the journal.

The manuscripts submitted for publication should be pre-evaluated in terms of writing rules, scientific value, originality, plagiarism and ethics. If the editor decides to reject the article during the initial submission process, it should clearly and impartially communicate the reason(s) to the author(s).

Articles that are not suitable for the purpose and scope of the journal should be rejected.

The editor should consider the knowledge and expertise of the referees in the evaluation of the articles and ask them to evaluate the articles that are suitable for their fields. Thus, it should ensure that the articles are evaluated appropriately by experts in the field.

The editor should apply the publication policies of the journal, which includes the policies of blind refereeing and the evaluation process, ensure the confidentiality of the referees' identity information, and ensure that each article is evaluated impartially and within a reasonable time.
