Pediatri hemşireliğinde simülasyon tabanlı eğitim

Today, teaching-oriented nursing education programs are more integrated. Intervention on pediatric patients in many hospital settings is complex and risky for nursing students to develop their clinical skills. In addition, hospitals are placing more and more emphasis on ensuring a high level of patient safety. As a result, students' clinical experiences become more observational and less hands-on. One of the most important solutions used by nurse educators for this problem is a simulation, which is an innovative teaching strategy. Various technology levels in the simulation provide a range of cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills in the controlled environment provided, as well as reduce the anxiety and stress of the students, and increase their self-confidence and satisfaction. In this review article, the use of simulation in pediatric nursing education was examined in line with the current literature.

Günümüzde simülasyona dayalı öğretim, hemşirelik eğitim programlarına daha fazla entegre edilmektedir. Pek çok hastane ortamında pediatrik hastalara girişim uygulamak, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin klinik becerilerini geliştirmesi bakımından karmaşık ve risklidir. Ayrıca hastaneler yüksek düzeyde hasta güvenliğini sağlamaya giderek daha fazla önem vermektedir. Bunun sonucu olarak öğrencilerin klinik deneyimleri daha çok gözlemsel ve daha az “uygulamalı” hale gelmektedir. Bu soruna yönelik hemşire eğitimcilerinin kullandığı çözüm yollarından en önemlisi yenilikçi bir öğretim stratejisi olan simülasyondur. Simülasyondaki çeşitli teknoloji seviyeleri, sağlanan kontrollü ortamda bir dizi bilişsel, psikomotor ve duyuşsal beceri kazanımı sağlamasının yanı sıra öğrencilerin anksiyete ve streslerini azaltmakta, özgüven ve memnuniyetlerini de arttırmaktadır. Bu derleme makalede simülasyonun pediatri hemşireliği eğitiminde kullanımı güncel literatür doğrultusunda incelenmiştir.
